When One Fails to Fail
The annual event takes audience on a trip to land of failure and shows them how to find their way to success.
If there was one common thread that connected all the stories narrated at Lamakaan on Tuesday evening, it was the grit and determination with which each of the speakers bounced back from their failure(s) to write a success story.
The #FailFest 3.0 celebrated just that – the spirit behind laughing in the face of a failure and carving a niche path out of it to find a way to success. The third edition of the annual festival is back to the city to “change the conversation around failure”.
This year, the fest brings together seven speakers, with seven stories woven around their failure, on to the same dais to share stories of courage, resilience and persistence. While taking the audience through their struggles, moments of despair and the lowest ebbs of their life, each of the speakers came up with their own set of learnings which helped them soldier on.
The speakers for the day included Anil Grovor — executive coach, facilitator and business consultant, Pranati Khanna – artist and musician, Divya Medar – a ‘Tam-Bram’ chef entrepreneur, Avinash Agarwal – popular stand-up comedian, Sriram Karri – novelist, and Vaishali Neotia – Tech entrepreneur.
As one of the speakers mentioned, “Resetting of goals is not a failure, not coming to terms with failure or not doing a course correction is.” Now, that changes the game and its rules. Doesn’t it?
The stories shared by the speakers not only inspired the audience but also helped them understand that there’s nothing wrong with failure. Failing is okay as long as you have the ability and the will to turn the tables around and move on to create a success story out of your failure, they seem to say unanimously.
The one-and-a-half-hour event kept the listeners at the overcrowded venue glued to their seats throughout.
